Hi there, my name is Luca, I'm a data reporter with a passion for investigative projects.
In 2021, I was selected by Report for America to work at the Traverse City Record-Eagle, where I've reported on hospitals failing to screen the mentally ill, PPP money being diverted to for-profit charter school management companies,
AirBNBs gobbling up housing, and COVID-19 particles in our wastewater. While there, I won the "Rising Star" honorific from the Michigan Press Association.
Before RFA, I was a freelance reporter in New York City, where I placed work in The Intercept, Gothamist/WNYC and the New York Times Metro.
I'm a graduate of the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, where I studied International Journalism with a concentration in Interactive Reporting (visuals, graphics and web-design for journalism).
